Initialization
When running this application from the Web, there should not be any file installed or copied to your computer.
The only file(s) created on your hard disk are those created by you when you use the "Save as" command to save your data.
These are very small text files with the extension ".fid", usually less than 1000 bytes each.
They are stored in your "My Documents" folder in a subfolder called "QKW".
When you click on the "Run" button, the application should get downloaded and automatically started
(but not copied anywhere on your hard disk).
However a number of things may happen, depending on the client computer configuration:
if the .Net Framework 2.0 is not installed (or not properly installed)
on the Client computer it gets automatically downloaded and installled the first time you try to use the application;
we have found that, in that case,
you are likely to need to reboot the computer and try to run the application again.
When the application runs correctly once, you can expect to be troublefree from then on.
If you are protected by a strong Firewall which blocks ports above 1000, you need to enter your Firewall and authorize port 10025 which is the one used by this application. The above are the issues we have encountered. There could be others depending on the Client computer config, but we have not encountered them yet. It is also recommended that you use Internet Explorer 6+.
